Anthony "Tony" La Morte

Anthony "Tony" G. La Morte, 81, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Whiting Health Care Center. Born in New York City, NY, he lived in Bergenfield, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2009. Tony was a supervisor for Teledyne Ferris Corp., Palisades Park, NJ for 32 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Chess Club of Bergen County and enjoyed playing the saxophone and organ. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Holst); his children, Michele, Jacalyn, Anthony, Jr., Michael and Joseph; two step-children, Donna and Steven ; a sister, Angela Petruno; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 2nd, with a service at 7 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
