Eleanor "El" Jostrom, 82 (nee Ralston), an elegant and vivacious lady, passed away, in peace, surrounded by her loved ones on November 6, 2010. Eleanor was born and raised in New Jersey. Her gracious heart, quick wit and contagious smile touched many throughout her life. After attending NYU, she worked as a law secretary for 15 years followed by 35 years as the office manager for her friend Dr. Nissenbaum. During her retired years she donated her love through many volunteer efforts including the Ocean County Library, the Crestwood Village VII Woman's Club as secretary and librarian. Eleanor is predeceased by her beloved husband Bert Jostrom, her loving parents Oscar Parke Ralston and Emma Oldenwalder. She is survived by her devoted cats Casey and Penny; Her loved ones Pat and Al Jurpalis, Anna Swing, the Swing Family, Bud and Debbie Rouse, Barbara Mason, Catherine Dronzek and Sylvia Nissenbaum, A Private Memorial service to celebrate Eleanor's life will be held.
