James P. Williams

James P. Williams, 90, of the Whiting section of Manchester Township passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Whiting Health Care Center, Whiting. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Williams lived on Long Island for many years before settling in Whiting over 25 years ago. Mr. Williams was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He later worked as a teacher for many years for the New York City Board of Education until retiring. He was an active parishioner of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church. He is survived by his wife, Joan; his children, Catherine Napoli, James Williams, Stephen Williams, Peter Williams, Joan Williams, Margaret Williams, Daniel Williams, Joseph Williams, and Laura Williams; and nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Megan, Matthew, Robbie, Kaitlin, Grace, Andrew, Christopher, and Julia. Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 10:45 am at the All Saints Chapel of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
