WEDLICK, JOHN C., age 86, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died on Tuesday, March 25, at home. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Secaucus before moving to Whiting 24 years ago. Mr. Wedlick was a self-employed Electrical Contractor for 15 years. Prior to that, he was the Facility Manager at St. John the Baptist Church, Jersey City. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was an avid craftsman and model maker. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret; three children, Janet Levengood, Thomas Wedlick and Dennis Wedlick and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755-6423.
