Stephen Javitz, Jr, 75, of Whiting, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at home. Born in Dickson City, PA, he resided in Lincoln Park, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2001. He retired from Fuji Film after 15 dedicated years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Stephen was predeceased by his wife Grace of 52 years and his parents, Stephen and Lydia Javitz. He is survived by four children, Kathlene Miller, Stephen Javitz, Lori Javitz, and Lainie Banghart; two granddaughters, Stefanie and Kaitlyn; three brothers George, Stanley, and Charles; a sister Alice DeSimone. Relatives and friends may call, Monday June 21, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Tuesday at 10 am, at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
