Kathryn Durkin, 87, of Crestwood Village 5, Whiting, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at home. Born in Westfield, NJ, she lived most of her life in Cranford, NJ before moving to Whiting. She was a supervisor with the Prudential Insurance Company, retiring in 1984. Kathryn was a communicant and member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was a member of the Crestwood Village 5 Bowling League She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Martin Durkin, brother, John and sister, Margaret. Surviving are four nieces and nephews, Maryjane, Denise, Edward and John, and many grand nieces and nephews, all of Washington State. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, April 9th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Inurnment will follow at the Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation or a charity of your choice.
