Lillian Ververs

LILLIAN VERVERS, 70, of Whiting, Manchester, NJ, formerly of New Port Ritchey, FL, passed peacefully with her family at her side, Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Van Dyke Hospice Center in Toms River, NJ after battling emphysema for four years. Lillian was born in Paterson, NJ and resided in Newark, NY for 21 years and New Port Richey, FL for 18 years before moving to Whiting in November 2008. Lillian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to shop from place to place looking for bargains. She loved crabbing, spending time with her family and cooking. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronald L. Ververs, Sr.; her seven children, Ronald L., Jr. of Spring Hill, FL, Ralph of Port Richey, FL, Rhonda Wolf of Newark, NY, Ruth Brugge of New Port Richey, FL, Tom Ververs, Sr. of Aripeka, FL, Debbie Kelley of Newark, NY and Heather Jinks of Whiting, Manchester, NJ; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Wintjen, Marilyn Wintjen and Joyce Gromberg of Sodus, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lillian was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Marie Wintjen and her brother, Ronald Wintjen of Little Egg Harbor, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held in May for friends and family. Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting is in charge of arrangements.
