Peter Liverakos, 86, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Born in Newark, he lived in West Orange before moving to Whiting in 2010. Peter worked for General Motors Corporation, Clark, NJ for 20 plus years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of AHEPA in Newark. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruth; two sons, Peter of Roseland, NJ and Don and his wife, Janice of Howell, NJ; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment and prayers will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting.
