Ruth E. Stahnten, 93, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at home. Born in Newark, NJ, she lived in Millburn before moving to Whiting in 1980. Ruth was an Administration Assistant for the Veterans Administration in Newark, NJ, for 25 years, retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Rose Stahnten of Millburn, NJ. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 27th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
