Thaddeus J. Grobelny

Thaddeus (Ted) J. Grobelny, 89, of the Whiting section of Manchester passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, April 29, 2022. Born and raised in Trenton, he lived there until moving for job opportunities to Fairfax, VA and Stone Mountain, GA. He returned to Trenton in 1977 before settling in Whiting in 1995. A US Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Grobelny worked in sales and marketing during his career until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, basketball, golf and softball. He was inducted into the Trenton Softball Hall of Fame in 1991. He was an avid golfer and scored his only hole in one at Hanover Golf Club, Wrightstown. He was a member of the Lacey Elks Lodge 2518 and a past member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Mercerville. Predeceased by his wife Constance in 2005, his parents and siblings, he is survived by his children, Karen Kuech and her husband Tom of Cranbury and Donna Huxford and her husband Joe of Suffolk, VA; his grandchildren, Cheryl MacDonald and her husband Ryan, Joshua Huxford and his wife Michelle, Kyle Rendall and his wife Jennifer, and Stephanie Kuech; his 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion, Joanna Kajan. Cremation was private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 10:45am. Interment, with military honors, will follow at 1:30pm at the Brig. Gen. W.C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to their favorite charity in Ted’s honor.
