Abraham Deliz, 71, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. He was a true native New Yorker, living the majority of his childhood and young adulthood on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Prior to his retirement in 2014, Mr. Deliz was a Line Superintendent for the New York City MTA for 33 years. He enjoyed the NY Yankees, watching boxing matches on Pay Per View, living holistically, walking NYC, spending time with his children, and loved his dog Mia.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ricardo and Eleuteria Deliz, and by his brother, Alexander. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Yasmin Deliz and her wife Kerin Vaughn, his son, Alex Deliz and partner Ryan Hague, his former wife and friend, Leslie Redman, and his longtime partner, Lisette Rivera, and her son Anthony.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec 26th, from 6-9 pm at the Cobble Hill Chapels, 171 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Funeral service will be held on Wed, Dec 27th, 11am at the funeral home, with interment following at Cypress Hills Cemetery, 833 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11208.
