Alan Hanenberg, 78, of Whiting, passed away on May 28, 2024.

Alan dedicated over fifty years to his craft as a carpenter with the local Union 124 in Passaic County, retiring in 2011. He and his wife lived in Wanaque until their move to Whiting in 2018.

Alan is predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Andrew Hanenberg, and his son, Michael Hanenberg. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Hanenberg; his children, Carolyn and her husband Scott Mayers, Andrew and his wife Michele Hanenberg; and his granddaughter, Finley Hanenberg.

A Visitation will be held on June 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with prayers from Christ Episcopal Church at 3:30. Cremation will be private.
