Alice C. Schmidt, 92, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Peekskill, NY, she lived in Staten Island, NY before moving to Whiting 35 years ago. Alice was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking, raising flowers, doing paintings and mosaics and her Thursday Luncheon Group. She was a member of The Community Reformed Church in Whiting. Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard H. Schmidt in 1989. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chuck & Janet Schmidt of Beachwood; her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Mike Catalano of Marlboro; her sister, Estelle Geekie of Whiting; five grandchildren, Gregg, Tracy, Kelly, Mathew and Richard and five great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ryan, Amelia, Aaron and Vincent. Cemetery services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to The Community Reformed Church in Whiting.
