Andrew Schroeder, 92, of Whiting, Manchester, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mr. Schroeder was born in Russia, and resided in New York, NY and Fort Lee, before moving to Whiting in 1985. He worked for Amtrak for 37 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Village VI Golf Club and VFW Post #8745, Whiting. He was an army veteran of World War II. Andrew was predeceased by his wife Elsie in 2001. He is survived by his brother Eric (Lenora) Schroeder, a sister Elsa Holloway, and by a number of nieces and nephews. Interment will take place on January 5, 2009, at 11am, at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
