Ann R. Barry, 96, of Whiting, NJ entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Ann was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. She graduated from St. Patrick High School in Elizabeth and received her B.A. Degree from Montclair State University in 1936. She was a former Latin and English teacher. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society and Helping Hands.
Ann was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, William J. Barry in 2000 and her son, Raymond in 2007. She is survived by three daughters, Joanne Murphy Scogin of Bay Minette, AL, Eileen Gormley of Princeton and Anne Petraglia of Basking Ridge; three sons, William of Scotch Plains, Robert of Belle Mead, James of Colorado Springs, CO; 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m., Monday, Dec. 12th at the All Saints Chapel of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York NY 10016. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
