Anna G Frudden, 86, of whiting died July 15, 2011, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in New York City, she lived in Queens, NY before moving to Whiting in 1982. She owned and operated The Deli in Howard Beach, NY for 30 years before retiring in 1975. Anna enjoyed knitting for the Navy Relief Society and in return received a ten thousand hour service award. Anna was predeased by her husband, Meinert in 1984. She is survived by her son, Fred and his wife Connie of Powhatan, VA; her daughter Thelma Mattern of Germany; seven grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Services will be private.
