Anna Reid, (nee Dempsey), age 80, of Crestwood Village I in Whiting, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on March 16, 2012. Born in Belfast, Ireland, she emigrated in 1957 and lived in Harrison, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1992. She is survived by her daughters Catherine and Barbara; sisters, Peggy McCarthy and Sheila Fowler; a brother, Francis Dempsey and a granddaughter, Celena DeLorenzo. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick; her daughter, Geraldine and her grandson, Daniel. A Memorial Mass will be offered in celebration of her life on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
