Anthony J. Bontempo, 69, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at home. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Avenel before moving to Whiting in 2008. Anthony was a bus driver for Breza Bus Company in Rahway. He retired in 2003. Anthony is survived by his wife of eight years, Carol Gibson; one step-son, Bryan Gibson of Allentown, PA; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosalie & Dominick Creanzo of Forked River and one grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday, June 1st from 2 to 5 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
