Betty Ann Van Benschoten, 71, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Perth Amboy, she lived in Little Falls before moving to Whiting in 2007. Betty Ann was a payroll supervisor for ADP Payroll Services, Morristown for 10 years, retiring in 2007. She was a volunteer for Somebody C.A.R.E.S., Inc, Whiting and a member of the Crestwood Village 6 Book Club. She is survived by her domestic partner of 34 years, Bruce Gabriel Pignone; two sons, Matthew Van Benschoten and Sam Van Benschoten; one brother, Raymond Majeski; one sister, Sally Schramm; one daughter-in-law, Cait Cashin and three grandchildren, Grace, Molly and Sarah. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3rd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a service to follow at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
