Carol Stratton Creed, 78, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Reisterstown, MD. Originally from Laurence Harbor, NJ, Carol also resided in South Amboy, Beachwood and Whiting, NJ. Carol is best remembered for the kind and patient demeanor she maintained throughout her life. She had a love of dogs, music and crime novels, and felt a deep connection to the Blessed Mother Mary, who was her lifelong guide and companion. A private, reflective person, Carol held an unwavering faith that both deepened the beauty of her life's many joys and sustained her throughout its trials. She was a nurturing woman with a naturally peaceful and calming presence; her family always came first. Carol had a gift of making everyone around her feel loved, and she will always be remembered for her compassion and her endless grace. Carol was predeceased by Bill, her husband of 50 years, her son, Tommy, her daughter, Beth and two brothers, Laird and Bill. She is survived by her sisters, Christina Grimley and Patricia Peguero; 8 children, Mary, Carrie, Bill, Jay, John, Pamela, Lenora and Carissa; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Monday, March 24th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, followed by a luncheon celebrating her life.
