Carol Ann Pompeo, 82, of Manchester, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2023.

Born and raised in Jersey City on October 7, 1940, Carol was the cherished daughter of Genevieve and Theodore Gorski. She graduated from St. Michael's High School, where she met her former husband, Joseph Pompeo. She was employed for many years at Greenville Hospital, Shop Rite and even owned her own deli and ice cream parlor in Bayonne, NJ. She lived in Carteret for several years before moving to Manchester in 2008.

Carol enjoyed playing cards, cheering on her favorite team, the Giants, and spending time with family and friends.

Carol was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Michael and his wife, Joan, as well as the proud grandmother to her two granddaughters, Jessica and Anna. Carol's longtime companion, Walter, will miss her dearly. She was also devoted to Walter's family, namely his daughter Lauren, and her two sons, Gregory and Jacob.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 3-6pm at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A blessing will be held during the visitation period.
