Charles F. Harvath, 84, of Crestwood Village IV, Whiting, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at home. Born in New York City, NY, he lived in Bergenfield, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2003. He was a longshoreman for Maxwell House Coffee, Hoboken, NJ for many years. He had an Arnold Bread route and also worked for National Biscuit Company. Charles also owned and operated a Coin Store. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was an excellent billiards player and enjoed bowling.
Charles was predeceased by his wife, Helen in 1996. He is survived by two daughters, Janet and Diane and one brother, Robert Wilson.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held at 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17th at the funeral home. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18th.
