Christina Colella, 89, of Newark, DE, formerly of Whiting and Rockaway, NJ, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at home. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Rockaway, NJ and, then, Whiting, NJ for 30 years before moving to Newark, DE in 2015. Christina was an electronics technician for Cessna in Boonton, NJ. She enjoyed playing bocce, shuffleboard and country line dancing. While living in Whiting, Christina was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Christina was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Felice Colella in 2012 and her brother, John Baviello. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Bruce Zannetti of Newark, DE; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Belinda Colella of Melbourne, FL and Robert and Janet Colella of West Orange, NJ and four grandchildren, Christine, Paul, Stephen and Perry. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 20th from 2 to 6 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, Feb. 21st at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
