Claire Audrey Conforte, 76, of Whiting, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at home. Claire was born in New York and lived in Woodstock, VA for 12 years and Durham, NC for 15 years before moving to Whiting in 2010. She was a trademark and patent administrator for Ligget & Myers Tobacco Company in Durham, NC for 17 years. Claire is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Robert Conforte; three daughters, Elise Conforte of Woodstock, VA, Celeste Geagan of Asheville, NC and Jeaneen Conforte of Brick, NJ; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services are private and under the direction of Aaron Cremation Associates, Inc., Whiting.
