Cornelius E. (Neil) Murphy, 79, of the Whiting section of Manchester Township passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in East Orange, he lived in Parlin for many years before settling in Whiting. Neil retired from the NJ Turnpike/Garden State Parkway, and was a lifelong Third Degree Member and Past Grand Knight at Saint Bernadette's Knights of Columbus Council 8478, Parlin. He loved anything Irish, including his beloved family in Ireland. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Anita Mulhall Murphy; his sister, Kathleen Hines and her husband Patrick; his sisters-in-law, Geraldine Auer and her husband Ron, Regina Seeger and her husband John, and Irene Druskin; his two nephews Gerald Mulhall and Nathan Druskin, for whom he had a great fondness; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation was private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at a later date. Events Details are pending.
