It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Daria M. Albertson on November 18, at the age of 78.

Born on February 15, 1946 to Nicholas and Maria Greyt, Daria and her younger sister, Phyllis were raised in Suffern, NY where she attended Sacred Heart and Suffern High School. A dancer, cheerleader, and athlete who enjoyed life to its fullest, Daria soon met the love of her life Allan Albertson, who she was married to for 54 years before his passing in 2021.

Daria worked as a legal secretary in law firms before dedicating her time to being a full time parent. One of strong will and strong beliefs, her colorful nature merited her many friends with her corner home in Mahwah often serving as a daily stop for coffee and conversation. When a health episode struck Allan, they moved to Whiting, NJ where again, she made friendships that last to this day.

She will lovingly be remembered by her children, Kimberly and Todd, grandchildren Chloe, Anna, Sophia, Fabian, son-in-law Steve Kanney, and daughter-in-law Stephanie Pico.

A public memorial for Daria will be held at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home (NJ) on November 21, at 1 pm. Her ashes will be scattered near Allan's in a private event.
