Dorothy H. Worthing, 89, of Whiting, passed away Friday, September 25, 2009. Born in Bridgeport, CT, she lived in Westfield before moving to Whiting in 1995. She was an accounting supervisor for AT&T, Piscataway, for over 25 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the AT&T Pioneers of America and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert T. in 1974. Surviving are three children, Robert W. of Sparks, MD, Charlene M. Tiger of Toms River and Linda A. Plaplan of Rahway; one brother, William Whalen of Arizona; four grandchildren and One Great-Grandchild. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ.
