Edith Thomas, 98, passed away on May 14, 2024. She was born in Metuchen and lived in Somerset for 22 years before settling in Whiting NJ.

Edith worked as a Telephone Operator for NJ Bell in New Brunswick. She also worked for AT&T and retired in 1984. Edith was an active member at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and enjoyed participating in the Rosary Altar Society.

Edith is predeceased in death by her parents Millie and Andrew Markano; her husband Joseph Thomas; and her siblings Marie Blum, Anthony Markano, and Thomas Markano. She is survived by her sisters Rose Makoviecki and Geraldine Magerowski; many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

A Viewing will be held from 4-8 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in the All Saints chapel at 10:45, 30 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting NJ 08759. Burial will follow at St Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick, NJ.
