Edna Maceira, 96, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, January 08, 2020 at The Pines at Whiting. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she lived in Astoria, Long Island, NY before moving to Whiting 33 years ago. Edna was an insurance broker for private companies. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Edna was predeceased by her beloved husband of 25 years, Francisco P. Maceira in 1963 and nine siblings. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Dee Maceira of Fairfax, VA; one grandson, Todd Maceira of Chicago, IL; one granddaughter, Wendy Klier of New York City, NY; one great-grandson, Hunter Maceira and one great-granddaughter, Marlow Klier. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 10th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Michael's Cemetery, Queens, NY.
