Elaine F. Sullivan, 94, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she lived there until she moved to Whiting in 1982. Elaine was a secretary and key punch operator for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in Manhattan, NY. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Sullivan in 1990 and her brother, Robert Smolick in 1985. She is survived by five children and four daughters-in-law, Michael and Jeanne Sullivan, John and Bernadette Sullivan, Ellen Sullivan, Robert A., Jr. and Catherine Sullivan and Timothy and Leslie Sullivan and six grandchildren, Lauren, Clare, Sean, Kelly, Andrew and Kevin. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Wednesday, June 21st at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
