Eleanor M. Brown, 93, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at Crestwood Manor Health Care Center, Manchester. Mrs. Brown was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Kenilworth before moving to Whiting in 1977. She was a supervisor for Silver Burdett Company, for 40 years, retiring in 1977. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, John J. Brown in 2003. She is survived by one niece, Joan Mikos and one great-niece, Joan Nitti. Interment will be 11:30 a.m., Monday at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
