Emil Seredick, 96, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Whiting, NJ, died on February 8, 2016 at Davis Health Care Center. Emil was born in Clifton, NJ, son of the late John and Rose Seredick. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Surviving are his two daughters, Patricia Myers of Wilmington, NC and Judith Voegeli of Roseville, CA; two grandchildren, Steven Rand and Sean Voegeli; and three great-grandchildren, Krystal Rand, Kylee and Finn Voegeli, and his sister, Gloria Cantone of Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. Seredick was employed at the Manhattan Rubber Corporation and in the Rutherford School system. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and received the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal and 2 Overseas Service Bars. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:45am at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
