Emma Garvin, 94, of Whiting passed away Wednesday December 22, 2010 at Compassionate Care Hospice. Born in New York City, NY, she resided in Teaneck and Demarest, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1986. Emma was a member of the Village VI Choir, the Resident's Club, and Line Dancing Group. She was also involved with Meals on Wheels. She is predeceased by her husband, Samuel J. Garvin in 1997 and her Daughter in law, Sara Garvin in 2010. She is survived by her son, Richard Garvin; her daughter, Joanne Bove and her husband Thomas; four grandchildren, Scott Garvin, Jennifer Garvin, Jonathan Moretti and his wife Rebecca, and Janine Moretti A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday January 8, 2011 from 1:00 - 4:00pm at the Crestwood Village VI Deerfield Hall, 6 Congasia Rd.
