It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Esther Brett on Monday, May 25th, after a long and difficult illness.

Her life was marked by both love and struggle. Growing up adopted, she carried emotional wounds and challenges throughout much of her life. She often led with her heart rather than her head, felt things deeply, and approached life with passion, emotion, and intensity.

She was funny, stubborn, sensitive, compassionate, and unforgettable. Though she faced many personal battles, those who loved her knew that beneath them was a woman who cared deeply about the people she loved.

She was a devoted mother to Alexzandra and Gideon and a loving grandmother to Adela, who brought her tremendous joy. Family, memories, conversation, and music meant a great deal to her.

In her final days, she was surrounded by love. Her daughter Alexzandra was able to hold her hand, speak to her, and tell her she was loved. Those moments will be treasured forever.

She leaves behind her children, Gideon and Alexzandra, her granddaughter Adela, extended family, and many people whose lives were touched by her presence.

While her life was not without hardship, she will be remembered for her heart, her love, her spirit, and the lasting impact she had on those who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be announced at a later date.
