Ethel S. Holt, 90, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Jersey City, she lived there and in Brick before moving to Whiting in 1996. Ethel was secretary to the Director of Placement at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ for 25 years, retiring in 1963. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Holt in 1998; her brother, Robert Sacks in 2010 and her sister, Evelyn Fisher in 2011. She is survived by three sisters, Florence Taylor, Lillian Parseghian and Carol Gall and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Oct. 20th at Christ Lutheran Church, 40 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
