Evelyn V. Pfisterer, 92, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived there and in Edison before moving to Whiting in 1993. Evelyn was a bookkeeper for Morgan Guarantee Trust in New York for 10 years before retiring in 1963. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Pfisterer in 1999 and her son, William Gooding in 1969. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Lowe of Whiting; two step- daughters, Judith Kramer of NY and Dorothy Smyth of NC; a step-son, Paul Pfisterer of Upper Black Eddy, PA; twelve grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, March 27th from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
