Beauchamp Torres
November 23, 1934 – March 18, 2025
Fannie Beauchamp Torres, 90, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025. She was born in 1934 in Puerto Rico to parents Julio and Adela Beauchamp. Fannie moved to the U.S. in 1948, where she lived in Manhattan, New York before returning to Puerto Rico. She later moved to San Antonio, Texas and in 1979 returned to New York City and settled in Richmond Hill, Queens. In 2001, she became a Whiting resident where she remained.
Fannie was always a joyous, happy, and friendly person. She loved music and dancing but most of all she loved her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Luis Torres, and her brothers Efrain, Eliezer, and Rolando Beauchamp. Fannie is survived by her children, Luis Torres, and Brenda Torres (husband John); her grandchildren, Jessica Taylor (husband Justin) and Lauren Tapiero (husband Alex); her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Gabrielle, Joshua, and Evan Taylor; and her sister, Nereida Beauchamp along with her nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025. Viewing will also be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Whiting Memorial Park 600 County Rd 530, Whiting, NJ 08759.
