Felice P. Colella, 86, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at home. Born in Italy, he lived in Rockaway, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1987. Felice was a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Parsippany, NJ for 20 years, retiring in 1987. He was a U.S. Navy veteran for 20 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #8745, Whiting and the Crestwood Village I Bocce, Bowling and Shuffleboard Clubs. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Felice is survived by his wife of 62 years, Christina; one daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Bruce Zannetti of Newark, DE; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Belinda Colella of Witchita, KS and Robert and Loretta Colella of Whiting; one brother, Paul Colella of Whiting; one sister, Angela Fendius of Whiting and four grandchildren, Christine, Paul, Stephen and Perry. Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 18, at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Diabetes Research.
