Frances M. Scopellite, 88, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Care One Nursing Home in East Brunswick, NJ. She was born and raised in North Bergen, NJ. She lived in Hazlet before moving to Whiting in 2004. Frances was the Office Manager for Nathan Katz Advertising, North Bergen for 3 years, retiring in 1990. Prior to that, she was a legal secretary for several law firms. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Anthony R. Scopellite in 2004 and her two sisters, Muriel Mercogliano and Jean Costello. She is survived by her daughter, Frances J. Rieser and two grandchildren, Joanne Scopellite and Anthony Rieser. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 18th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Sept. 19th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
