Arlington, Francis Richard, better known as Richie, age 72, of Whiting, NJ, passed away the morning of April 23, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he grew up in Bayonne, NJ and lived in Weehawken, NJ and Westfield, NJ before moving to Scotch Plains, NJ in 2001. He was a construction supervisor for many notable firms before retiring in 2019. An avid musician, he enjoyed creating experimental music he referred to as "sound sculptures," and was the founder of many improvisational music groups in his community. During the 1980's and early 90's, he also worked at the legendary music venue The Bitter End in New York's East Village, where he made many musical connections and lifelong friends.
Richie is predeceased by his parents Mary and Buckie, and his brothers Bobby and Tommy.
He is survived by his wife Annemarie, daughters Jocelyn and Meridith, and brothers Michael and Barry. There will be no services at this time in accordance with his final wishes, but online condolences may be placed at www.manchestermemorialfh.com
