George Berzinskas, 91, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at AristaCare at Whiting. Born in Hartshorne, OK, he lived in Elizabeth before moving to Whiting. George was a chemist at American Cyanamid in Linden. He was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. George was predeceased by his wife Florence in 1992. He is survived by his daughter, Florence Costanza Silberger of Bayside, NY. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 18th from 2 to 5 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 19th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Friday, Sept. 19th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
