George Hamilton, 77, of Woodland Township, New Jersey, passed away at home with family on November 10, 2025. Born and raised in Irvington, New Jersey, where he willingly participated in volunteer work, including the Junior Police and the Irvington Rescue Squad. He always looked for opportunities to serve others. Later, he relocated to South Jersey to serve in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic, flight engineer, and in the C141 training and testing section at McGuire Air Force Base. After leaving the Air Force, he worked as a corrections officer for 26 years. Upon retiring, he enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, family, and friends. He was also a volunteer firefighter with the Lebanon Lakes Fire Company in Woodland Township. He also enjoyed model trains, anything involving tools, home & historical projects, and browsing and repurposing finds from the antique stores, flea markets, and thrift shops. Since retirement, George was also an active Trustee of the FOP Lodge #69 and served as the Sergeant at Arms.

George is predeceased by his brother, Keith Hamilton, and his grandchild, Michael Ian Williams. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; his children, Sharon (Walter) Williams and Michael Hamilton; his grandchild, Walt Jaamen Williams; his great-grandchildren, Alanna Rose and Austin James; and his brother Carl Hamilton.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, located at 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel at Saint Elizabeth Seton Church, located at 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. Burial will immediately follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
