GERDA MATHIS, 65, of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, October 12, at home. Born in Thorn, West Prussia. She lived in Bergen County, NJ, and Lancaster for 13 years, before moving to Whiting over 2 years ago. Gerda became a Naturalized U.S. citizen on November 17, 1972. Gerda was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, Frank, in 1995. She is survived by her loving son Christopher, three brothers Mike, John, and Eddie Bonkowski, a sister, Helen Bonkowski, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 12pm, at Quarryville Cemetery. Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting is in charge of arrangements.
