Gladys M. Sabo King, 92, passed away on October 15, 2024. Gladys was born in Rahway, NJ, and raised in Carteret, NJ. She lived there until settling in Whiting in 1999 with her husband, Walter.

Gladys was an active member of the Community Reformed Church in Whiting and a member of the Eastern Star. Gladys enjoyed traveling and visiting various cities during Lodge Conventions with her husband, Walter. She was proud of her Slovak ancestry and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting and seeing new plays during the annual Family trips into New York City. She could be found relaxing at home enjoying T.V shows like General Hospital Dancing with the Stars and Family Feud.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (nee Kimezey) Sabo; her husband, Walter C. King Jr.; her brother, Leonard J. Sabo, and his wife, Ethel; and her brother, Ronald Sabo. She is survived by her daughter, Deirdre Gill, and her life partner, Scott Cobb; her son, Walter C. King III, and his life partner, James Spadola; her granddaughter, Rachel Vogel, and her husband, Scott; her grand daughter, Alexandra Gill; her great grandson, William Vogel; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Sabo; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will also be visitation hours on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 morning from 9:00 - 10:00am. Entombment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River, NJ.
