Helen H. MacKenzie, 96, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Pines at Whiting. Born in Bayonne, she lived there and in Watchung before moving to Whiting in 1978. Helen worked for Western Electric in Kearny. She entertained with the Jersey Shore Seniors, professional dancers, for seven years. They performed in Washington D.C. for Congress; at the Governor's Fair, Cherry Hill; at Great Adventure, Jackson and Logan Manor Nursing Home, Whiting. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Helen was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Petraccaro and her husband of 18 years, Hugh MacKenzie in 2002; two brothers, Joseph and Edward Holton and one sister, Elizabeth Holton. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy-Jo Kubicka and her husband, Kenneth; three step-children, Ron and Marylou MacKenzie and Hugh MacKenzie, Jr. and two granddaughters, Kimberly Rennie and Kathy Bliss. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 22nd from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting with a service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
