Henry Spillner, 67, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at home. Born in Illinois, he lived in Denver, Colorado and Boulder, Colorado before moving to Whiting in 2000. He graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO in 1976. Henry was an operating engineer for the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) in Denver, CO for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a lifemember of the V.F.W. He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Claire and Robert Erb of Waretown and a niece, Nancy. Inurnment will be at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
