Herta Corleis, 83, of Whiting, passed away on Tuesday, June 8th, at Manchester Manor. She was born in Germany. She resided in Brooklyn, before moving to Whiting in 2005. Herta loved to cook and entertain at dinner parties. She loved to shop and enjoyed card games. She also like to go to Atlantic City. Herta was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Whiting. Herta is survived by her daughter Barbie and her husband Michael Tasso; three brothers, Richard Schuett of Germany, Hans Schuett of Long Island, and Heinz Schuett of Germany; and two nephews Willie and Uwe. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Sunday, June 13th and from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Monday, June 14th, at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home 28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting. A service will follow at 10:30 am, at the funeral home. Burial will follow, at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G.
