John (Jack) E. Balke, 85, of Asbury Park, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born and raised in Chicago. IL, Jack lived in Barnegat before moving to Asbury Park in 2009. He was a professional musician. He was a US Army veteran and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting where he played the organ for Saturday masses and funeral masses for many years. Jack was predeceased by his wife, Grace in 1984; his brother, James in 1972 and his sister, Lorraine in 2005. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Renee Balke of Yardville, NJ and two grandchildren, Madison and Maguire. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, October 8th at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ.
