James George Adamo, 87, of Whiting, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. James was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He moved to Whiting in 1994. He was a traffic manager for Universal Car Loading & Distribution Shipping Company in New York, NY. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the 6th Marine Division. James was predeceased by his wife, Aurora in 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Jane Adamo of Queens, NY and Susan Baumback of Montclair, NJ; one sister, Pat Voss of California and one grandchild. Interment will be Friday, April 19th at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
