James H.
Christman Jr.
June 24, 1965 – August 12, 2025
James was born June 24, 1965 and passed on or about August 12, 2025. James is predeceased by his parents Joyce D. (ne Seislove) Christman and James H. Christman Sr., both of Allentown, PA.
James was raised in Coopersburg, PA. He attended and graduated from Southern Lehigh High
School. He then attended DeSales University access program working with his father in the masonry and construction business.
Our family spent summers on Long Beach Island, NJ. We rented an apartment in Beach Haven for many years where James learned many beach sports including swimming and surfing. In our teenage years we started staying in Barnegat Light because he became interested in deep sea fishing, an interest he shared with our Dad.
At some point James stopped returning to Pennsylvania and started renting small houses with friends or staying with the families of other fishermen. He started to work as a mate on the Doris May IV, his captain says he could hear Jimmy laughing at the boat from his home 7 blocks away, he couldn't help but smile himself. James later began working as a commercial fisherman catching scallops and tile fish.
James is survived by his son James and daughter Sarah of Flagstaff, AZ; two sisters Stacy of Pennsburg, PA and Sue of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; as well as a niece Jennifer, two nephews Christopher and Samson, and two great nieces Mila and Leiya.
Jimmy was the Captain of the Ship and the Houseman of the party. He never worried about tomorrow, if he had money he was buying, even for strangers.
Jimmy passed away on his boat in the Viking Village Marina, Barnegat Bay, he would have wanted it no other way, just maybe a little later.
In lieu of flowers a Gofundme is set up to assist the family with Jimmy's final arrangements. Any
donations in excess of costs will be used for a celebration of life at a later date.
Thank you all for the Love and fond memories.
Sincerely, The Christman Family
